Hey Boomers!

.

Yeah that’s you and me, aged 55-74 years old. We had a pretty good run. We kicked open some doors and questioned authority in the 60s and 70s. We rattled the idea that societal norms are set in stone.

.

Old mores about sex and proper dress were dumped out on the ground to be reassessed. Thanks to boomers, men are not wearing white shirts with skinny dark ties, and women don’t have to perpetually be in a dress. Our sex life is no longer nasty and hidden in a dark room under the covers.

.

Boomers pushed back and told the government that we are not simply going to accept their rhetoric about the Vietnam War. Problems with the environment and the dangers of a nuclear world were kept in societal agenda.

.

But then…

.

We wanted to start families and raise kids. Our time was focused on working hard, paying bills, and trying to get ahead. Now we are at the retirement phase, with a bit more free time on our hands.

.

So why not shift back to those ideals we adhered to in our youth? Are we too tired after carving out our slice of happiness? Has it been too long since we thought outside of the box? Did we let the world convince us that things never change? Change is risky. But it could make the world significantly better for your grandchildren.

.

Our question is what legacy we want to leave behind. We started valiantly with energy to change the world. Now at the end, we can do it again? It requires courage and needs good thinking.

How about this idea… The Decision Website.
