Global Impact
This site describes a tool for citizens of any country to fully debate ideas with accuracy and balance. It is called the “Decision Website” and will require that all perspectives be represented, facts checked, and conflicting ideas analyzed. Effectively, it can give a unified voice to the participants, thereby moving the narrative away from those in power and giving it to citizens.
The goal is to use the Decision Website to strengthen the citizenry until they can modify their country’s constitutional framework with the people in control.
However, not all countries have a solid pathway to change their constitution. Those in power have too much control. In the U.S. we have a “Pathway to a Constitutional Convention”, albeit bumpy.
Information is critical to a movement, or a revolution of the citizens, or an overthrow of authoritarians. Imagine if a goal for the movement has been debated and moved to a point of consensus among the people. What if a movement could make the infractions of the current system very clear to everyone? Even a general plan and pathway forward could be decided upon. Finally, what if the citizenry trusts the way these decisions were made because they too were an active part and in control of the decision process?
So many people in the world are discontent with their governments. For so long, the citizens of these nations have doubted their ability to rise up and take control. Once the world recognizes the viable power of the people and sees this pivotal tool for unity, the reaction will be strong and immediate.
Countries could take their time, watch and earn from others transition to an improved democracy. But they won’t wait? People around the world have waited too long already. Instead they will demand that their respective nations change to a citizen controlled democracy.
A global movement of tidal wave proportions will be a problem. We need to be prepared. But in the end, real democracy is what the world needs.

Developed countries can change more easily. The communications infrastructure is in place, and Internet access is readily available. People are educated and basic premises of government are understood.
America’s problem is navigating our constitution to make sufficient amendments to give people the control. Other developed countries face the same issue with their constitutions.
Developing countries will have a harder time making the transition. The institutions are less stable and communications can be weak. There is often corruption in government and leaders wield tremendous power. Rebellion in the streets may be their response. How much pain the revolution experiences will depend on the soldiers and law enforcement officers. If soldiers and law enforcement officers can realize that they are also part of “the people” and that the plan for the revolution is truly the voice of the citizenry, then the revolution can succeed peaceably.
Unfortunately, rebellions by nature have problems with getting organized. Too often strong rebel leaders result in a new tyranny. The good news is that a roadmap can be prepared beforehand with a Decision Website. If rebels, citizens, soldiers, and police understand the plan, understand how their lives will improve, then the revolution can be successful.
It is not merely the mechanics of the revolution that can be discussed, but also the framework for the new government and the detailed plan of transition. Consider how the 2011 Arab Spring in Egypt would have taken a more democratic path if they had the Decision Website to plan and present ideas to the citizens.

China is an interesting case. Its authoritarian government seems formidable. Yet it is The People’s Republic of China. The original intent was for “the people” to run the country, both politically and economically. How will the Chinese soldier see the new movement towards democracy? Will they recognize that this is not an overthrow of communism, but merely the governmental aspect. These soldiers will have so much riding on their shoulders. One direction will see a severe brutality towards the revolution. The other choice will save so many lives and so much suffering.
Interestingly, the Decision Website can also serve as a model for how the people can actively manage a communist economy with market-like influences. If a soldier is conceptually defending the communist viewpoint, seeing the new model of a people controlled economy can make a difference in their decision of who to support.

Having a solid direction and plan can make all of the difference. Every country must have the tools to determine the will of the citizens. They should build trust with a democratic media. They must understand that people will be trying to steal their power right in the midst of the revolution. It will not be easy.
Let’s not kid ourselves. This will be a dangerous time. Economic chaos is a certainty. It’s an initial price we have to pay, but an issue we will later resolve in our new democracies.
While many will sound the alarm of economic collapse, understand what they really mean. The stock markets will be what are collapsing. Banks and financial institutions will be in upheaval. The wealthy are losing money.
Production of goods will slow. Jobs will be threatened. But a country’s facilities, capacity, and workforce stand ready. When citizens take control of their government, they will have the resources available to manage the economy. They have the will of the people to guarantee their livelihood.
Other countries, especially developing countries, might experience economic overthrow as well as political. Those citizens have suffered economically and may not hold back. It could be a mass redistribution of wealth. Interestingly, we may see full socialism under a people’s democracy for the first time in history. We may see socialism with dynamic market information, just like in capitalism. Because there is real potential for this to happen, there should be work done on a game-plan.
Visualize the world when real democracy takes hold. People have common goals and want the best standard of living for themselves and their families. And now governments will also have that goal. We can make this planet a sweet place to live.
